Well, I created this card specifically for a colour challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches … then after it was completed, I realised it was a CAS challenge … doh, not sure where my brain was at!! Not sure if having a dry embossed background means my card is no longer acceptable for the challenge, but I enjoyed the challenge anyway because it took me outside my comfort zone colour-wise!

Update: I was still focused on the card I should have made, so I attacked my card with a craft knife and finally did the card I was supposed to make earlier! I can be stubborn sometimes 😉 I’ll add a sentiment later.

Supplies used:
- Layered Wood Flower dies by Altenew
- Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz inks by Stampin’ Up! (ink smooshed on white cardstock)
- Floral embossing folder by Spellbinders
- Slate cardstock by Gina K Designs
- Perfect Sentiments hot foil plate by Pinkfresh Studio
Pretty card! I love the subtle variation of colour on the embossed layers.
Either card is a beautiful card! I do love the embossing on the first card. The flower is beautiful as well. Thanks for joining us at CC&S
