Rainbow wishes challenge

This was for the 3rd challenge of the Sharing Spring card hop over on Instagram, hosted by That Crafty Golden. My supplies are STILL packed up in boxes, as the challenge arrived in the middle of moving house. The great news, though, is that I received some crafty happy mail during the week, and when I saw the dies in the Spellbinders club I just knew it would work well for the challenge – then realised on the back of the packaging that the designers had the same idea! Embroidery threads make me happy, and rainbows make me happy, so having a rainbow selection of embroidery threads makes me SUPER happy! 😀

Supplies used:

  • Faux Stitched Sentiments and Floss small die of the month by Spellbinders
  • Happy Stitching clear stamp and die of the month by Spellbinders
  • Scraps of cardstock by Scrapbook.com, and leftover ink on blending brushes to add some variegation to the colour

Pastel perfection challenge

This was for the Sharing Spring card hop over on Instagram, hosted by That Crafty Golden. As almost all my craft supplies had been packed up, I had to get a bit creative with this card, but luckily found a panel from my desk that I stenciled a while ago. It was nice to finally get it made into a card! I managed to find a card base that I’d stamped the wrong way that I could cover with layers … you’d never know if I hadn’t told you haha.

I’m also entering this card into the Path of Positivity monthly challenge, because I think this sentiment is a perfect example of one of the quotes provided for inspiration: “We can improve our relationships with others by leaps and bounds if we become encouragers instead of critics.” (quote by Joyce Meyer).

Supplies used:

  • Butterflies stamp and stencil combo by Taylored Expressions
  • Warm spring wishes stamp set by Gina K Designs for the sentiment
