Making life brighter one card at a time
I had this coloured stamped image left over from last year, so finally put it to good use today, as it was perfect for a few challenges this week!
Thanks to Jennifer McGuire for her reveal card tutorial a while back – it was my first time attempting one and I love it!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had an idea on the go-live day for Craft Roulette along with the energy to follow through. I knew straightaway what I wanted to do. The card also works perfectly for the Double Trouble roy-g-biv challenge and the Double D April showers challenge.
A work colleague asked to see some of the cards from recent classes so I showed her my Instagram feed – she saw a recent one using this stamp set and rainbow and said it spoke to her because she’s going through a tough time right now … so this is going to her next week.
The Craft Roulette parameters this week are:
✅ Peek a boo card
✅ First grader colours
✅ Rain
✅ Edge distress (I tore the edge of each of the washi strips in the rainbow)
This was intended for two challenges this week – I missed the deadline for one but it’s still in time for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge. I just love the rainbow made from washi tapes. Unfortunately I didn’t have a suitable MFT stamp to go with it, and I had my heart set on this format, but hopefully it’s ok.
Living in Australia Christmas in July feels more like a traditional Christmas due to the cold weather – our usual Christmas is spent sweltering in the heat. This Christmas stamp set by Simon Says Stamp made me smile. This is for the Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch challenge 568.
