AAA Cards challenge 256

I had the honour of being asked to take a guest designer spot on the AAA Cards challenge blog. Due to unexpected ill health before/after Christmas it was a bit of a scramble to get a card made (hopefully) in time, but it felt nice to stand at the craft desk again after a forced break from putting my back out!

Supplies used:

  • Beautiful bees stamp set by Gina K Designs
  • Honeycomb stencil by Brutus Monroe
  • Leftover yellow Gina K ink on my blending brush with a touch of light orange and honey mustard inks
  • A few touches of Glossy Accents as highlights on the honeycomb

AAA Cards challenge 255

I managed to stand at my craft table for the first time this year since putting my back out at Christmas. It felt really good getting my hands busy with craft supplies, even if I kept my craft time short and my card simple (can’t get much more ‘clean and simple’ than this one!). This was for the sketch challenge 255 over at AAA Cards challenge blog, using cool colours. Cool colours are most definitely my happy place, so I went with a dark aqua cardstock as my colour choice.

Supplies used:

  • Warm Spring Wishes stamp set by Gina K Designs (bird cages)
  • Lovely You stamp set by Stampin’ Up! (sentiment)
  • Prism gem stickers from Honey Bee Stamps
  • Turquoise Sea cardstock by Gina K Designs
  • White embossing powder by Gina K Designs

Another day, another challenge

Definitely feeling more like myself again … my challenge mojo is returning full force and I’m finally motivated to make cards for the sheer fun of it. And that means more challenges again.

These cards were originally for an Instagram challenge but the design follows Wednesday’s My Favorite Things sketch challenge too. It’s also perfect for the Birthdays challenge over at the Addicted to Stamps and More blog, and the newest Cupcake Inspiration challenge to use orange, pink and yellow!
